Atty. Chong 'Panalo' ng magbanta na magsasampa ng kaso kapag binura ng Facebook ang Video!

Renowned lawyer and former Lone District of Biliran Representative, Atty. Glenn Chong cries foul over termination of DECONSTRUCTED MEDIA’s Facebook account after posting an intriguing video about allegations of his CONNECTION with defeated Vice-Presidential candidate Bongbong Marcos while online mainstream news agency Rappler, decided to ‘twist’ its report by giving Chong a bad name.
Advertisement DECONSTRUCTED MEDIA’S Facebook post on Tuesday, July 31, began with a caption that wrote, “RAPPLER DECIDES TO WRITE ON GLENN CHONG – BONGONG MARCOS CONNECTION BUT IGNORES SARDILLO – DRILON. YES, Sardillo, as in Leni’s lawyer.” The post was shared by Atty. Glenn Chong with a lengthy explanation a day after in defense to Rappler’s failure to disclose the FULL TRUTH.

Facebook Philippines however, clearly stood by Rappler’s support by choosing to deactivate DECONSTRUCTED MEDIA’S account in hope to ‘contain’ the controversy made by the video. Atty. Glenn Chong called out Facebook Philippines shortly after, in his DEMAND TO RESTORE both the account and the video or otherwise face legal sanctions. In his Facebook page, Atty. Chong posted against Facebook saying, “TO FACEBOOK PHILIPPINES: I wrote last night an article sharing the post of DECONSTRUCTED MEDIA which you took down this morning. In that post, I explained why rappler.com has engaged in spreading fake news by twisting its report concerning the questions of Sen. Franklin Drilon to me. I explained why the rappler article failed to disclose the full truth.”

Chong insisted that Facebook violated his rights to defend himself and his integrity against unfair attacks by taking down the video showing a ‘part and parcel’ of his defense against those attacks. He added that rappler.com or any media entity has ‘absolutely’ no license to ‘condemn’ him without meriting appropriate response from his side of the story.

DECONSTRUCTED MEDIA’S video showed a short narration of Vice President Leni Robredo’s Legal Counsel, Atty. Bernadette Sardillo as having to coach Senator Franklin Drilon prior to questioning Atty. Chong’s credibility, linking him to Bongbong Marcos during a 3 – hour long Senate inquiry exposing involvement of both COMELEC and SMARTMATIC in the 2016 Election fraud.

The video’s narration wrote:

“In the senate hearing investigation on the 2016 election fraud, A lady was seen talking to Senator Franklin Drilon handing him a piece of paper.

Drilon took the paper & proceeds to ask Glenn Chong. Drilon tries to connect Glenn Chong & Bongbong Marcos. Sworn under oath, Chong denies and easily disproves the allegation.

So, who is this lady? ATTY. BERNADETTE SARDILLO, abogado ni Leni Robredo. Why would she want to destroy Glenn Chong's credibility? Is she now the coach of Drilon? GINAGAMIT BA NILA ang opisina ni Drilon para harangin ang mga pasabog ni Glenn Chong tungkol sa 2016 Elections.”

Meanwhile, here's the transcript of the short conversation that Drilon asked Chong during the hearing,

Drilon: "I guess questions are raised here...because your'e known with the council of Bongbong Marcos.

Chong:  No Sir.

Drilon: And therefore...

Chong:  No Sir.

Drilon: Your shoe might be...

Chong:  For the record Sir, I don't

Drilon: Are you not the counsel of Bongbong Marcos?

Chong:  No Sir.

Drilon: But you've represented Bongbong Marcos in the proceedings before the PET.

Chong:  No Sir. I may happ but I did not accept the nomination, Sir.

Drilon: Okay.

Chong: Thank you.

Drilon: Thank You.

Atty. Chong ‘wowed’ netizens over its victory to convince Facebook Philippines to restore the said video on Wednesday, August 02., saying, “WAGI TAYO MGA KAPATID! Ibinalik na ng Facebook Philippines ang post ni Deconstructed Media matapos itong tanggaling kahapon ng umaga. Ito ang post na inireklamo ko kahapon dahil lehitimo ang sinulat dito at bahagi ito ng aking sagot sa fake news mula sa rappler.com.”

“Sa pontong ito, hindi umubra ang mga dilawang trolls at ang fact-checker kuno na rappler.com.”

“Munting tagumpay lamang ito pero kung magkaisa tayo, makakamit natin ang tagumpay kahit pa mayaman at makapangyarihan ang ating mga kalaban tulad ng sindikatong Comelec-Smartmatic.”

A netizen named Arlene Escalante made her own contemplation on Facebook Philippines trying to meddle around politics. Through her Facebook post, she wrote,

“Why does FB delete this video every time it's posted?

1. Backstory of DECONSTRUCTED MEDIA posting this last night, shared by Glenn Chong, gained 50K views in a matter of hours. Now page was taken down by facebook.

2. Livestreams of abs and other mainstream media yesterday were always INTERRUPTED suspiciously.

3. NONE of the mainstream media reported the contents of the hearing. 3 hours of NO answer from smartmatic and comelec but they chose to write on chong-bbm connection.
