Pangulong Duterte galit sa ABS CBN at hindi na erenew ang kanilang franchise “Magnanakaw kayo eh, niloloko niyo ‘yung maliliit,”

President Rodrigo Duterte said that he would prefer to reject the franchise renewal of media giant ABS-CBN because of it’s allegedly “swindling” activities and biased reporting against the government.

During his speech at the inauguration of drug rehabilitation facility in Bukidnon on Friday, the President shared that ABS-CBN already sent their representative to talk to him, but he said that they’re only wasting their time because the media network would not convince him.

He also believes that the people behind the said media network are thieves who deceive small people.

“Now, ABS-CBN, their franchise is due for renewal. They sent emissaries to me. They sent Gabby away because nothing will happen. I will not talk to you, but I will also never intervene. But if I had my way, I would not give it back to you,” Duterte said.

“Magnanakaw kayo eh, linoloko niyo ‘yung maliliit,” he added.

He then rechallenged ABS-CBN to show some evidence that he got a hidden wealth.

ABS-CBN is one of the media networks that covered the alleged hidden bank accounts of President Rodrigo Duterte during the campaign period.

Senator Antonio Trillanes IV is the one who accused Duterte of having hidden health allegedly from corruption.

“This is a challenge which I am hurling at you now. Punta tayo ng Central Bank tayo pagkatapos sabihin ko buksan yung computer at tingnan ko yung account. ‘Pag ka sumobra ng P40 million, I will step down. But kung hindi umabot ng P40 million, maglinya kayo diyan at sampalin ko kayo,” Duterte said.

The franchise of ABS-CBN is set to expire in 2020, two years before Duterte step down as the President.

As of writing, ABS-CBN is not yet releasing a statement on the new tirades of President Duterte against them.
